At the Aug. 27 Board of Education meeting, parents asked that teachers be allowed to instruct students remotely. President Tony Serratore said community should "let the people in charge do their job."
The board sounds like a group of petulant children who are putting others in danger because they can. Shame on them and on the district 230 administrators!
I would like to know how many members of the Board are currently working from home. If their employers are permitting it, why won’t they extend the same option to the teachers?
So basically teachers don’t want to pay for day care yet essential workers must because our schools have chosen to go remote. Are these teachers how don’t want to go in person self isolating?!? It’s my belief that all of us are doing selective social distancing when it suites us. Kudos to the board for sticking to their decisions.

10 out of how many thousands of students.
